These Terms and Conditions govern the supply of products and services by NL Home Improvements St Helens (“we”, “our”, or “us”) to the customer (“you” or “the customer”). By placing an order with us, you agree to be bound by the terms set out below.

We operate throughout the North West of England and Wales.
1. Quotations and Orders
1.1 All quotations provided by NL Home Improvements are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated.
1.2 Quotations are provided based on the measurements, specifications, and information supplied at the time of survey or enquiry.
1.3 An order is only confirmed once:

The customer accepts the quotation

A deposit payment has been received

Any necessary surveys or measurements have been completed
1.4 We reserve the right to amend quotations if incorrect measurements, specifications, or site conditions are identified after survey.
2. Deposit and Payments
2.1 A deposit of between £200 and £300 is required at the time of placing an order.
2.2 The deposit secures your order and allows materials and products to be ordered or manufactured.
2.3 The remaining balance is payable upon completion of the installation, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
2.4 NL Home Improvements reserves the right to suspend or delay installation work if payment terms are not met.
3. Surveys and Measurements
3.1 A survey may be required before installation to confirm measurements and product specifications.
3.2 Any variation identified during the survey that affects cost or design will be discussed with the customer before proceeding.
3.3 It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure accurate access and information regarding the property.
4. Installation and Access
4.1 Customers must ensure that safe and reasonable access is available to the installation area at the agreed date and time.
4.2 The customer must ensure the working area is clear of furniture, fixtures, and obstructions where possible.
4.3 NL Home Improvements will take reasonable care during installation but cannot be held responsible for:

Pre-existing structural issues

Hidden pipework, wiring, or structural defects

Damage resulting from undisclosed property conditions
5. Delivery and Installation Times
5.1 Estimated delivery and installation dates are provided in good faith but may be subject to change due to factors including:

Manufacturing delays

Supplier delays
-
Weather conditions
-
Unforeseen site issues
5.2 NL Home Improvements will notify the customer as soon as possible if delays occur.
6. Cancellations
6.1 Orders may be cancelled within 14 days of signing the contract, in accordance with the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, provided that manufacturing has not already commenced.
6.2 If materials have already been ordered or manufactured, cancellation may result in charges to cover incurred costs.
6.3 Deposits may be non-refundable if work has commenced or products have been specifically manufactured for the customer.
7. Guarantees and Warranties
7.1 NL Home Improvements provides guarantees on products and installation where applicable.
7.2 Warranty periods may vary depending on the manufacturer and product supplied.
7.3 Warranties do not cover:

Damage caused by misuse or neglect

General wear and tear

Damage caused by third parties or external factors
7.4 Any warranty claims must be reported within a reasonable timeframe.
8. Customer Responsibilities
8.1 Customers must ensure that they have the legal right to authorise installation works at the property.
8.2 Where applicable, customers are responsible for obtaining:

Planning permission

Building regulations approval

Landlord consent
8.3 NL Home Improvements cannot be held liable for delays caused by missing permissions.

10. Limitation of Liability
10.1 NL Home Improvements will not be liable for indirect or consequential losses including but not limited to loss of income, inconvenience, or delays outside our control.
10.2 Our liability shall not exceed the total value of the order placed.
11. Force Majeure
11.1 NL Home Improvements shall not be held responsible for failure to perform obligations due to events beyond our control including but not limited to:

13. Governing Law
13.1 These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
13.2 Any disputes arising shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
